    These had better be cheap. The nVidia 9600GT (according to reports) is almost as fast as a 8800GS. If that card is anything close to the price point of these cards, then for gaming there will be no competition at all.

    i think of the 3850's and 3870 and want to compare them to the 9600 pro's ... great gaming cards for the price, but not too extravagant.

    i ran a 9600 pro for 2 years before i felt the need to upgrade to my current x850 - and that is just now starting to feel crippled.

    The HD3650 performs very well for the price. I have a Powercolor HD3650 Extreme PCS and it looks to be the low(ish) end card that may well sell quite a few. 512mb of DDR3 too :D

    There is supposed to be one on the way (but I've been waiting for a couple of weeks for it now...)

    9600 SE here. And it's running great... (no exaggeration)
    But, not to be rude, the 3870 and 3850 are far better value than even the notorious 9600 family.
