Fibre would be lighter but also a lot more expensive - with the non-works cars the cost is a factor too... I'm sure you can specify all manner of bits to be fibre that aren't in the standard car if you have the wallet.

I see what you're saying, but I think we are talking about different cars here. Just to be sure, the DBR9 is not the road version. It is the track version of the DB9. This track version is already mostly carbon fibre. In fact, all of the body panels are carbon fibre except the roof. Which means the roof may be heavier than the rest of the panels, but also have cooling benefits for a non air conditioned cockpit which can reach incrediblly high temperatures especially in long endurance races.

Found a review for this case that includes temps. It is in German, but there is a button on the top right that will translate the pages for you into English.

    http://translate.google.de/translat...p?t=366036&garpg=9&sl=de&tl=en&hl=de&ie=UTF-8

I don't know if this review is of the pre-production model, but a least the reviews are starting to show up. Now we just need Bit-Tech to do an in-depth review (with lots more pics please) and we can compare results.

Some of you guys seem so damn cheap.

People buy SLI and tri-SLI and Crossfire setups and whatnot costing between £500 and £1000 and those cards are good for a couple of years maybe.

But a good quality case which you can re-use and keep for say 10 years or more costing a little over £200. Oh no. That is SOOO expensive I wouldn't dream of spending that amount on a case. And most certainly not a STEEL one. Because that would certainly break my fragile back when I move it to fiddle with the hw inside.

And lets not forget the 3 (?) peices of PLASTIC (!!!!) inside it. Corsair should GIVE us money for taking their case which has a little plastic in it. Cheap *******s!!

And it seems most of you overlooked the fact that the air that is pushed through the harddrives is exhausted through the back where you hide your cables and that is why there needs to be a plastic cover (a plastic part i forgot :-O) over the hole behind the motherboard. When the side cover is on this space acts like a channel for that air. That is why it is perforated all the way from the top to the bottom on the rear left hand side (when you look at it from the rear).

I own the LianLi PC-343 CubeCase or whatever its name is, and I am seriously thinking about changing to this case. Even though there are some details I like on the LianLi there are also plenty of negative ones. No easy cable management, front panel barely sits on there and it can be moved like 5 mm up and down when it is on, there is vibration noise and probably other things I can't think of right now. And this is a case i've spent close to £400 on I would guess. That includes 2 3x3.5'' drivebays in front and 1 3x3.5 in the back, 3 120mm fan holders for the front, 10 perforated 5.25'' bay covers which replaced the fan holders since they were advertised as ideal for placing fans in front of the radiator, but the air just escaped and the radiator was not cooled, covers for unused fan holes in the back, support bracket for PSU with dust filter (you must remove PSU to clean this filter) and radiator brackets.

With the corsair case I can just screw the radiator to the top and the harddrives I can just throw a couple of screws in to hold them to the hotswap bay and throw them in there. And if I want to change one I dont even have to touch a cable to do it. I don't even have to move the case. And I don't care about fixing my cables since it's just so much work. With this I can just shove them trough a hole right next to the port and hey presto. It's "GONE".

This is actually the only case available to me that I want to spend my money on. And being the first case they ever made, Corsair seems to have made a goddamn excellent job on it.

I'm not a fanboy, I don't even own a corsair product. I had a set of memory once and I was happy with that.

I just wanted to critizise all the whining here about the price, plastic and steel.
If you don't like those go get one of the 500 other cases in full alu.

And if you can't afford £200 for a case then get a better job or work more on your current one and don't come on a forum and complain that you can't afford it. If they wanted £500 or more for it my opinion would be different though.

I actually live in Norway and here it is available for preorder for around £250 when i convert the price. I get paid roughly £1700 each month after taxes. Does that make the case cheap when compared to the UK? (I'm guessing most of you live in the UK since £ is being used.)

I wouldn't really complain about the price, rather I would complain that it's that much and still not aluminum.

Explain again why the cheaper metal justifies a higher price?

Because it's awesome? Not everyone likes aluminium anyways. I, for one, certainly don't.

I love this case, regardless of material used. I would prefer it to have a different window or at least a plain side panel so to give you an option of putting in your own window. I would also have liked there to be room for another rad at bottom of the case.

Sorry if I didn't make my point clearer:

Aluminium cases are more expensive and FFS I have no idea why!

I thought the full retail is only different from review by the size of the cpu mounting hole? Could be wrong though.
