I'm confused : do Alan Wake and Max Payne 3 have the same developer, or is it a different one ?

Man, why turn Max Payne into an old version of Bruce Willis? Dirty tank top? WTF? He used to have such a nice long coat.

Must say not sure about the Bruce Willis look, always loved the Max Payne coat (hoping it'd be an unlocakable feature for old skool Max) but am glad there's just a new game on the way

yay :D the original max payne was the first pc game i ever bought and the sequel was laughs (anyone remember the bomb-strapped guy in a costume?) one thing though.... i have a theory why "Splinter Cell Conviction" hasn't been released yet... Sam Fisher has moved to Sao Paulo, Brazil and is moonlighting as Max Payne by the looks of it.

He's tubby? Really? Judging by the size of his forearms he's still in better shape than 99% of the population, and 100% of people his age.

I dunno, he could have been in his early 30s when his wife and child were killed, so Max Payne 1 was three years later (IIRC), making him mid thirties. Max Payne 2 was maybe a year later at most, putting him at mid/late thirties. Ten years later: mid/late 40s. He could just about pass for someone pushing 50 I think.

Of course this doesn't tell us much about the game, but if it's anything like the first two (metaphors in tact) it'll be great by default.

I'm pretty sure he was late 30s/about 40 in Max Payne 2.

This is just not Max Payne anymore.

Oh, and this means Alan Wake is officially dead? Shame.

This is not being developed by Remedy aka the developers of Alan Wake.

And the developers of the original MP. So... who's doing it then? And why not Remedy?

Remedy lost the rights, as Rockstar weren't happy with 2's sales. They decided to develop 3 in house. I wish it had stayed with Remedy really...

I find it really hard to see how they're going to do "game noir" in the jungle, and by the looks of the info, by day.

Same here. I can't picture the whole ambiance for that when you have the guy running around on a dirty tank top.

"In the jungle"? If you find a "jungle" in São Paulo, let me know... By the way, Max will need more than weapons and bullet time to stay alive while walking through any of the São Paulo slums at night...
