First Mod-Tower++

    after spending endless hours looking at these projects i have decided to start my own worklog. After searching high and low for

    a cheap (read "almost free") full tower i decided to bite the bullet

    and buy an at case at goodwill. after stripping all of the parts including these

    can you imagine the sparks if i had plugged it in:nono: :duh:

    so once it was all out i cut the case:

    [​IMG]
    the posts are 1/8x3/4 aluminum bar

    this will be the new bezel
    [​IMG]
    24"x8"X0.025" aluminum sheet

    but my drill bit broke so i need a new one- will get soon

    I bet it will work if the spaces are removed in the filenames.

    My god what is that giant green thing;) I took apart an old gate way to scavenge the harddrive, and I remember similar components, thinking to my self "what the hell is this for" Old school stuff is neat like that. The frame looks solid though and has huge potential. So what the plan?

    the plan is to turn it into a full tower. i will have an update tomorrow i have pics of my progress but school starts day after tommorow

    ok i have an update!:clap:

    i got the top on :D :D but then i noticed it was not level

    so i took it down and redrilled some holes
    [​IMG]
    and now it is level


    i took these off a floppy drive they will be used to isolate the hdd
