indeed, especially when someone is proudly displaying their first piercing and others have spoken of theirs.

If you don't have anything nice to say etc. etc.

Back on topic... Did you only get the one side done, or both, Xen?

I love symmetry...It didn't feel right stretching my lobes except when they were both the same size.

Also why all of my piercings are on my body's centre line or paired.

    Ouch!

A lot of people (including me) wouldn't have the balls to get that done. (Things will probably change though, as a few years ago I didn't think I would ever have the balls to get pierced at all...)

    Did it heal properly?

Fully healed in about a month!

The worst part was the walk to my car after getting it done... Far too many stairs for my liking :eeek:

Mine didn't hurt at all......and as Ben mentions "You'll be wanting more in no time.."- I really do!

Currently considering opposite eyebrow (right side...mmm symmetry), lobe tunnels or helix.

I've always wondered what people do later on when they have those big floppy lobe holes and don't want the plugs anymore. Do they close back up? If you get them to a certain extent, I couldn't imagine the holes closing all the way - so what will you do?

I've always wondered what people's plans are who stretch out their ears.

Prince Alberts are not nearly as painful as you would think. You are only going through about the same amount of flesh as if you were having you eyebrow pierced. It's a small pinch and then you're off. The next few days it's a bit tender, but after that it's pretty much business as usual. I got mine done at 10g and stretched to 8g two weeks later. I was also having sex within two weeks. I've also never had a girl complain about it. :hip:

Lobe stretching is something I almost wish I hadn't done. I got up to 3/4 inch and blew out my right lobe. I was going too fast and basically tore the lower part of my lobe. For the most part, it looks natural and most people don't notice. I do have a split lobe, though. My left lobe I let shrink back down, but it never shrank back completely. It went back to about 7/16 and wouldn't go any smaller. I wear a plug in it because it freaks other people out if I don't.

    Here's a question for you pensk :p

Is it possible to get scar tissue re-pierced?

My right ear failed to heal after 6 months and I took it out and let it heal over, as advised by my piercer. That was 2 months ago and I am thinking about getting it re-done. Can i get it on the same spot or very close?

BTW, on the subject of symmetry, my left ear is now 7mm and my right is 0mm :p The inbalance actually makes it look interesting, especially 'cos all my tattoos are down my left side too.

me either - getting a piercing isn't my personality. Plus I think it affects how others perceive you, especially in the corporate world. People treat you how you look and not how you act sometimes, unfair as it is.

but this has been beaten to death anyways...carry on
