News First PS3 game shown - Gundam

    Final Fantasy PS3? Does anyone else have a problem with this? Maybe it's just because I'm a die-hard fan of the series (even with some of the crap releases), but branding a game like FF with your console seems, well, horrible. It's like the ultimate form of disrespectful advertising.

    And the gundam thing looks interesting...not a show I ever watch, but something I'd be very interested in playing. No renderware, though? Is that just for this one developer, or is Sony not going to be participating? If so, that will be very bad news for cross-platform games.

    I think FF PS3 is most likely a standing title. I bet it will change. I'm also a diehard fan, and I know exactly how you feel. This gundam game seems to be running at about 20 FPS though, but seeing as how they threw this together just for this show, and the fact that it now way represents the final product, it's still pretty impressive. Head on over to IGN and watch the trailer for the game "Lair" its all ingame and it looks pretty awesome.

    Err, yes, I would bet money on them not using that exact title - it's surely just a placeholder to indicate it's a) a FF game and b) it's the PS3 version.

    It would be like saying "Gran Tourismo PS3" since no title has been announced. I'm assuming they're doing one...

    I kind of hope they do name it FF PS3. They had 10, 11, 10-2, now PS3, and they'll have to name the sequel PS32 or PS3-2 or PS3.14159 or something. That should be Square's new logo: "Our games are so good, we don't even have to know how to count!"
