no its not ok......playing it at high is just saying im settling for average, mediocre. you always want to go for the best and thats what YOU have to achieve and if that means buying and £500 GPU then so be it. You have to be like Simon, simon doesnt settle for High he wants to play the game in ULTRA HIGH!! sorry its been a long boring day
Errgh erghhh, SRX/3 project with 4 Gtx 680/780 HC's + 2 Xeon 8 Core CPU's E5 - 2670's, all watercooled in something like a LD V10, thats what I'm aiming for
Get a 120Hz monitor, solves all sorts of problems as then you need to upghrade your graphics card to pump out true 120fps, which will mean your cooling and maybe case might need a boost, as well as PSU at times.
Well I'm not entirely sure weather it deserves to be in that section, but maybe I'll put a post up when evga finally release the board and intel finally release the processors
30"? why not get 3 22" monitorz? I ordered an LG one off amazon (it's the £113 one at the top of the popularity list) and it's the most sexually attractive computer component I've ever seen. Yup, I went there.
My desktop still plays everything I throw at it on High/Max (Crysis Warhead just barely starts slowing down at maximum settings) at 1200p, so I don't really have a reason to upgrade. Fortunately, I at least have to build/upgrade computers somewhat regularly for my job. Though have you considered downsizing as an upgrade? I've been looking into getting a mini-ITX case for my desktop and downsizing everything. It would be an upgrade in portability, that's for sure.
i agree with longweight (god knows why though...) one larger montior over 3 smaller monitor. I would love to be able to afford a 30" Dell.
