I want to fix a extra fan to the CM Elite 120 Advanced. The fan will only be connected to the case on one edge, by that I mean the fan will be standing on the bottom of the case.

    Case:

    Fan in Case:

    Default Fan:

Any advise on how to fix this fan in place? One method that has just come to mind as I typed this thread would be to drill holes, two either end of the fan in the case bottom and then run cable ties, another method would be glue which I am not keen on.

    Anything else spring to mind?

Hot glue might work well, strong enough but fairly brittle so would release easily enough should you want to remove it.

When I used SLI I did something similar and I just used those sticky fixers and the fan never fell over.

Thanks but not really keen on glueing as I always seem to be in and out of a PC and if the fan is glue it would mean snapping it off then re-glueing each time.

    Sorted.

Must have forgotten one of my pills this morning and the brain or eyesight were not working as there is a cable tie fixing point that I had not noticed so ran a cable tie though that then through the fan screw holes at one end with enough play in the movement of the fan to slide the other end behind the fixing nut & bolt of the feet I am using. http://www.kustompcs.co.uk/acatalog/info_8956.html and the fan solidly fixed easily removed.
