    Spot the deliberate mistake:

"It's an entirely common site for professional gaming teams to partner with hardware manufacturers:"

Great, more generic "gaming" keyboard and mice.

Quick show of hands: has anyone ever bought a 'gaming' branded component or peripheral because of it's branding, rather than in spite of it?

I bought a Razer Blackwidow Ultimate BF4 edition in French for £32. So I bought it in spite of the branding, given it's a £140 keyboard.

Same goes for my Steelseries wireless WOW mouse too really.

I think the only peripherals I would have bought would have been the Star Wars Razer stuff (which would most likely be cheap junk like the rest of their stuff) or very possibly the Fallout 4 Xbone controller, had it been available here in the UK.

My step son bought the Razer Tron stuff and quelle surprise, the keyboard chicklet thing is junk and the mouse has stopped working properly.

If they're working with an existing company, why the need to crowd fund?

It looks like Fnatic have been watching Corsair and Razer saturating the market with samey keyboards and mice at stupid prices and the success in enticing the gullibles to part with disposable income.

Great gamers are great regardless of what mice and keyboards they use, Fnatic won't be able to pass on any of their talent, so it will be interesting to see how they create value in the peripherals - or if it is a pure cash-in.

(Added) if they create a peripheral with wonderfully spaced WASD keys like my old Zboards ... they get my money. And/or a keyboard/mouse combo that rests on knees/lap for playing FPS in living room/bedroom with Steam Link or Steam Machine - they get my money.

Create same old Corsair/Razer samey crap ... forget it.
