Any of you guys get in those moods/personas when you really have to do something but you simply get distracted by everything? Now, I have been tested for ADD & ADHD, but the dude said I was normal enough to simply learn to focus on my own, I just have to study when I have the energy and when I'm fed. So, any ideas on how to [ naturally ] solve my problems with focus? I've had an essay assigned for the past 2 weeks, 10 paragraphs required, only done 2 so far, and the 8 I've had queued for today I've only gone 1/8 of the way through. I woke up and started working on them at 1pm, and it's now 1am. So yeh, ideas? Suggestions?
Its cause u dont find it interesting. I can sit on a PC all day without a problem, but when i come todo an essay or revision my mind instantly wanders cause i find it boring. I find breaking it down into really teeny parts works, cause it feels like a lot of achievements which is moral boosting. Also i tend to obsess about organisation and preparation for these things so i feel in control and dont stress so much which helps me concentrate cause ive got less of everything else to worry about.
just try and get on with it, try and focus on what it is, think of it this way, the sooner u start, the sooner u finish and can stop worrying about it.
