Ok so my favourite font site has spazzed out. Does this work for anyone else properly? The space where the font should be shown is just showing up white and it's really annoying. I've tried it on Safari, Camino and IE and they all show the same. Argh. http://dafont.com/en/ I'm actually after a typeface similar to on this shirt: http://www.deathwishinc.com/estore_items/tscon03.jpg
The site is working for me, didnt try installing a font but the page is showing different fonts, using firefox 0.9
Stupid Mac IE Perhaps Haz, GOO or Spike will read this and give it a go... *downloads Firefox but doesn't expect much since it's the same as Camino really*
You have to cope with web designers that don't take into account for all platforms, yeah. I wouldn't care if it was any other site but this is a hugely popular font site. If it doesn't work properly on a Mac they're losing probably their biggest audience. Then again, it could just be something up with mine :/
It probably is something with you, as iCapture shows it correctly: http://img.thefreakybelgian.net/safaripic.png Yes, but they have no excuse anymore since iCapture has been born (a year or so). I don't have a mac, or don't know anyone that does, so it'd be hard to check if my site is displayed correctly on one. Luckily, iCapture has been very useful in making my site safari-compatible.
That's very strange. 4 different browsers, all the same results - and it can't be anything to do with being on a Mac... surely? The font images are set as the background of a div in png format. Not sure how that matters any.
k- i know very little about mac's . other than the fact that i think they are silly </opinion> but could it be as simple as maybe clearing your cache or something? file type associations? odd browser image settings? remember - i have no clue about how macs work ...
Make sure the fonts are installed in the "Fonts" folder in the control panel or else the page wont be able to display properly. If it's installed, or if you just installed it, right restarting your machine and see if it works It works fine here on Mozilla firefox 1.0 and ie 6.00
