I am stuck for a week with no pots and pans just a microwave, fridge, oven, and plastic plates and cups. What is the best eating I can have? I already lots of cereal and milk.

    Any advice?

Pizza Express boxed pizzas from waitrose or tesco are super tasty and cook right on the oven shelf like a lot of oven pizzas these days, in about 8 minutes. Damn tasty. Try the Sloppy Giuseppe

Ooh I'll tell you a snack that I really enjoy, can work as a light lunch if you have bread with it: peas with feta cheese crumbled into it. As seen here.

    Yummy.

mmm the Sloppy Giuseppe is seriously good.

    Baked beans on toast
    cheese on toast
    any number of toasted sandwiches
    oven ready meals from supermarket
    chips
    chicken kiev
    fish fingers
    cumberland pie
    chicken breasts
    stuffed peppers

Dude there's so much stuff you can cook in an oven, just have a look around the supermarket

..or you could just buy some pans?

I'm at University in the middle of no where the nearest grocery store is very far away, hence the restrictions. :hehe:

Agreed. It's still awesome. BTW: Don't forget you can put frozen peas in the microwave with a little bit of water and they'll cook just as well as they would in boiling water.

First, just buy two cheap stainless steel pots (else, one glass baking tray) and one sharp knife and chopping board. Supermarkets and discount stores are your friend.

With an oven you can make:

    stews
    roasts
    (shepherd) pies
chicken or fish & vegetables wrapped in greaseproof paper or tinfoil
    hotpots
    pizza (and calzone)
    lasagne

With a Microwave you can make:

    steamed fish/chicken/rice
    soups (low setting)

Learn to cook. I've managed for months with literally only a hob, two pots and a knife. I would have loved a microwave or oven.

Baked potatos are good - filling and you put anything on them. I'm a fan of sour cream, coleslaw and pineapple.
I know here you can get some pasta in a can.. just microwave and off you go. They do need something for flavour though.. jar of italian herbs work well.

hotpots, genius, i just made myself one with sausages and a tomato and chili pasta sauce. granted i fried the sausages first but i guess they could have easily been oven cooked too.

did i mention it was uber tasty?
