That's actually a really good version; i didn't know what to expect when i put it on. After he said the first line i wound it back, listened to it again and realised that the audio had been re-cut really well. Nice one to whoever :thumb: :D

Actually, that quite ticked me off. Not because I'm a huge fan of Bush, but because of the content. I know that it was probably done tongue-in-cheek, but some of that was rude and plain ole nasty. Whether or not it was done as a joke or not, by stating that the American flag stands for contempt, corruption, terror and the like to me is showing blatent disregard for America and it's people who love this country as a whole. How would you all feel if someone lumped your country and it's people in the same catagory with terrorism, contempt, corruption and rape?

I'm not one to shy away from a good joke, especially when it pokes fun at our government, but there is a line that can be crossed and in my opinion, this crosses it.

Other than that, the person who did this did a great job at cutting the sound and video so it's relatively smooth and well done ;)

It's amazingly well done. I don't think it crosses the line. If it was Tony saying the same thing I'd find it nearly as funny. I think the funniest part of it is the fact that first of all it's George Bush saying all that stuff, not just some random guy bashing America and also the fact that all the Americans in the hall stand up and cheer which clearly shows that it's supposed to be a joke instead of something that's supposed to offend Americans and make non Americans agree with what's said.

One strange bit in it is when Bush says "I have a message to the people of Iraq, go home and die". It shows him saying the last bit in full and doesn't look edited at all. When would Bush ever say "go home and die"?

I'm not getting into a political or ethical debate on this board. With your statement, you obviously don't know much about this country and seem to believe the sensationalism you are fed by TV news. There's no other country I'd rather live in than the US. I'm proud of this country, what we stand for and that we won't take crap from anyone anymore. I'll never know if intelligence that the govt received was real, fabricated or false, but I know the true nature of the people who love this country. THAT is what our flag stands for, the people. If you tell me that the flag stands for contempt and all that, you are insulting, categorizing and persecuting every single American who loves this country - including me.

I do somewhat agree with this statement. We Americans and this country should keep our money, resources, troops, etc. at home and let the rest of the world worry about themselves. When someone messes with us...fine...kick/kill their (_!_)'s. Other than that...lets focus on us. :D

Amen. Keep our troops HERE, keep our money HERE. You mess with us, you better make peace to your god. I'm tired of all the two-faced countries in this world that critisize and insult the US, then the next day play nice and ask for money or our help with something.

Man, this is just a joke and a great one.
I love USA and i'd love to live in USA and also appreciate Bush work in these years.
I don't see this as an attack to a country but as a funny videoclip :D

I guess you have to see it through my eyes. It would be similar to me telling what I believe to be a funny joke about someone's mother, but in reality offending then in the process. Like I tell my kids, it's not always what you say, it's how you say it - to me it's an insult, to someone else, it's a joke. Does that make sense?

    Besides, I'm usually with you -- I'm 1/2 Italian ;)

also, isnt the title of this thread "for those who dont like george bush"? not "for those who have a problem with others slating our country" ??

That's because you don't live here. 9-11 just galvanized and publicized the fact to the world. Personally, I flew our flag at every place I've lived since moving out of my parents house and have always had at least a flag sticker on every car I owned.

Never said that I liked Bush. Never said that I don't enjoy a good ribbing of our government. I only said, by telling my point of view, that there is a line that shouldn't be crossed, and in my opinion, this does.

In addition, by stating "rofl...its the truth though", it drove it in even further.
