Um.... Ok im not to found of bush but after the first 5 seconds it loses all of its humor factor.. And that bit about our flag just rubs me wrong. I mean yeah bush is a dumbass but don't let him judge the rest of our country.. And about us being the "bully" of the world. bwahahahahaha I love how now everyone forgets how much we helped though. Everyone looks at us as the bad guys but we are also the one who give away the most resources and try to help. and It just ticks me off ,I think we should have never gone into ww1 and ww2. we should of just gave japanese the oil and go on about ourselves not caring about anyone else. not being the "bully" yeah that would have done well. We were the only ones that kept russia in check and its hillarious to think if any other country could have. Oh well thats my 2 cents. I just think that this world is so ungreatful i say we take all of our troops and bases and just move back to the us. fortify us. And just trade with other countries and worry about ourselves. seems to work for everyone else....

And I am not going to get into any arguement over this cause anyone who hates a country will always find a way to hate it. its sad to see a decent Board have to resort to US bashing and have the few American members have to stand up for it. Yes you did. Japan and Germany were allies and when the Japs cought you with your pants down at Pearl Harbor and left a large part of your pacifc fleet in flames and then declared war on you so did Germany. Therefore German Subs that were ordered not to fire on American shipping in the past could which wasnt in your interests.
germany and japan were made at us for selling you guys weapons and we were gonna sell oil because for some reason japan was having trouble getting it from the middle east. We should have just sold the guns to the highest bidder and let germany go about with there business. But we didn't cause we do have morales. I personally don't like bush but I think that what happened in iraq needed to be done. I think that if we have the power and don't do anything to help than we are no better than the people who are doing the really bad things like sadam and the terroists. People always are complacent here and in other countries that as long as they don't effect us let them have their reign of terror so to speak. But if we don't do it who will. The un?? hahaha.. Im not fornd of revisionist history, but by in large the United states seems to be very fond of it. Ask any american why the whitehouse is white, its because the british burnt it down, twice, during the war of 1812, and it was whitewashed to cover the charring, and that image needed to be kept after the war fizzled out. I have very strong opinion about G.W. , but mixed about Iraq, the main thing that bothered me was the fact that there was well over 10 separate excuses for going into Iraq, with the real reason, IMHO still to be shown, if ever. You guys have gotten yourself into quite a pickle, whether by political intrigue or popular opinion. edit: The Un was created as a forum for the world so it could resolve their differences peacefully. it was founded by US, China, Russia, Uk, and another I cant remember right now. What stymeies me is one of the founders cant abide by the resolutions that their creation pouts forth, much less that they are one of the most in debt to the UN through their lack of contributions.
I found the video very funny, great editing and alot of humourous truth in some but not all of it. I think its great people can have pride in their country, i'd love to be proud of mine someday but i have a feeling when i am, i will have moved somewhere else. But all this 'we' crap: "we bailed your ass out of WW2", etc etc. Its just way to far, its INDOCTRINATION, when people 'love' there leaders (or by proxy: country) so much that they accept their decisions, defend them unquestioningly and above all rationalise. Its this very 'us' and 'them' mentallity that causes 3500 people to be killed each day in armed conflict, countless numbers of slaves in the third world live on less money than is spent, on average, on advertising for one citizen of the US, the fact that world poverty could be eradicated if the weathiest 1% of people gave 10% of that wealth away, this list could go on forever. "We did this", "our people did that" is what you hear alot when people talk about their countries, personally i find it very amusing, reflected glory. Frankly i don't care what people in my country do, in the past or the future: i'm not them. I didn't help or make the decision and you know what, i'm glad. So if your going to be proud that some guy in your country made a lightbulb at some stage you better be proud that someone made a decision that killed 1000's of inocent people at another. If your going to be proud that someone discovered vaccination's you better be proud of someone discovering and making nuclear weapons, etc etc IMO I write not as a Brit or as an American or (as you've probably guessed) a patriot i write as an individual with an opinon that you may, and are indeed entitled, to disargee with.

Actually I saw that bit on the History channel.. But In all I don't like GWB at all i really don't. I have a sense of humor I love things that make fun of him. But that video makes fun of our country. I mean hell i just can't see why anyone doesn't see how freaking messed up sadam is. I mean. He frickin tried to model himself from joesph stalin!!! That tells you something i hope.. I think That the war in Iraq was justified to a point. I think sadam should be dead and his sons who are crazier than him. And thats what I agree with. I think they should be able to choose who leads them and so forth. But now i think we should just stop doing anything really. We should stop helping. or "hindering" as some people believe. I think we should let the middle east do their thing. I think we should let No. Korea do their thing. I think we should do this because it seems everyone see's us as the bullies. We try to help but every gets mad. If we don't do anything we are also evil. What should we choose? We could have choosen a different path at the beginning. We should have taken Ol' George Washingtons advice and stayed out of foreign(sp?) affairs, we should have just done our own thing. Im just ranting now and o well I Don't believe in "patriotism" but i think is is good to have a love of ones country. I like living in a country that is the most powerful in the world. I like having all the freedoms that I possess. I like having the right to vote for things and so forth. Im not saying that other countries don't have these rights but one would say we were one of the first. I think that americans as a whole love to bash on our country but don't let anyone else do it. To end this I must say bush is a moron and I do not like him at all. He wants to live up to daddy's expectations and thats not right. I would rather that anyone else is president. He gives a horrible name to are country. And don't judge our country or our flag by him. And about the poorest countries. This may sound farfetched but how many have seen black hawk down? We try to take out evils. But it seems that the people either are brainwashed our they hate us. this by no means is the case all the time. But we do try to help. I also find it hillarious that everyone seems to think all americans all rich fat cats. This sadly isn't true. I by no means am not rich I am probably a upper lower class person right now. and I know a lot of people like me. I would love to donate millions if i had it to charities and such around the world but sadly enough I don't have that money.
I see your point but i'd just like to mention that that film was edited extensively by the US government and US military before it was alowed to be released, i treat that film as a form of propaganda.
