Yes, it was edited. Supposedly so classified stuff didn't get out, but who knows. There was a show in The History Chanel not too long ago about that incident. I think it was called The Real Story of Black Hawn Down or something to that effect which paints a similar picture - a little different in a bunch of areas, but similar.
Hmm I can't be arsed with most of the "my country's better than yours" stuff thats going on, but one of the things that really bugs me about Americans is their "if it wasn't for us you'd be speaking German" argument. Firstly, I'd say 20 million dead Russians did a lot more to bail us out than you guys, and secondly- it was 60 years ago! Do you seriously expect people to forgive your current misdemeanours because you helped us out all those years ago? By that logic Mr Bin Laden is still your friend (he helped you out before) and so is Mr Hussain... Personally, I think that (like every country) there are great things about America but there are also a *lot* of bad points. I think it was mr Benjamin Franklin who said "it is the first responsibility of every citizen to question authority". So sure, fly your flags and love your country but don't blindly follow what people like Bush say. Anyway, great video Sam
Amen! I'm from the US, and that's the main problem I see. In the past presidents we've questioned them on everything they've done (EI: clinton). But for some reason people stopped questioning Bush after Sept. 11.
Thats the beauty of his propaganda machine. Personally it sickens me to the core that anyone can reduce the deaths of 2800 inncoent people to a way of convinceing good people not to question their leader.
