I think...

  1. The FS forums should stay exactly as they are

I know people who post on an airsoft forum which has quite a large FS section with feedback. In the feedback you have to put in the link to the sale you made otherwise it won't go through. That way people checking your feedback can see exactly what happened in the post :)

Sounds like a good system actually.

But I think the problems were that people wer spamming the FS threads not with peoples rep. Was it?

Definatly change it back. You can see by the huge decline in posts that its ruined the fs forums. :sigh:

I voted to get the old system back as i feel more comfortable knowing that the rest of the community can see whats goin on as far as the deals concerned. I know its a percieved image but i felt safer doing deals with people that way.

On another note: As a seller of some of my stuff i've now suffered more than ever from time wasters due to people feeling there is less of a pressure on them to keep and complete the deal. Don't get me wrong i know sometimes people decide they no longer require an item or simply run out of cash etc but since the new system i've had 5 time wasters (no names) on the same item and 3 of them even went as far as asking for my account details before deciding they no longer wanted it or simply stopped replying to emails or PM's.

Overall though i think that the votes tell the general feeling:thumb:

That's how it is now. The seller can edit his first post. The problem is no one is doing that. At least with the old way you can tell if someone has already made an offer so you're not wondering whats going on. Also, in the past 3 weeks a lot of threads that don't follow rules have gone unnoticed, but before other users were pointing it out and the mods fixed them.

One of the problems was people going off topic. Also, people weren't following the rules: posting ebay links, not setting a price, and other users saying you can get it cheaper elsewhere. I think increased moderation would definately do the trick.

And I'd also like to see PM's stay enabled even if we do go back to the old system. A lot of members don't provide an email address and its the only way to contact them.

Even though I voted for a return to the previous format, I didn't quite expect the vote to be so unanimous.
