    Hi All!

First off, im not the best with software and all that.

So this is my problem: Last night i made a force-shutdown on my PC and i ran into the exact same problem as this guys describes:

    (Bluescreen error msg "STOP: c000218")
    http://phorums.com.au/archive/index.php/t-135305.html

    So my computer does this:
    1. Boot normally until jtus after the windows loading screen
    2. Then i get a standard "Skip CHKDSK" msg. It does this everytime, as i choose to skip that scan each time the computer starts up.
    3. I get a bluescreen for about 2 miliseconds, then the computer auto reboots.

So apparently, when i forced the computer to shutdown by holding the power button, something got messed up in the software. Now a friend of mine told me that he had the same problem, and that he solved it by using a CD that forced the computer to run the CHKDSK during the boot. So now im wondering where i can get my hands on a program like that, so that i can burn it onto a CD and throw it into my desktop.

I tried swapping out all the hardware (exept the RAM and mobo) and it still boot'd like i explained.

Hope i made the problem clear, and that you will be able to assist me with this matter :)

Try booting with the XP disk into the recovery console, then run chkdsk

Yeah, i thought of that, only that the CD to my windows is at my fathers place as i left my CD-case with him. So i hoped that i could try the force CHKDSK method in advance.
