Windows Force feed driver into vista

    I'm trying to install a proper driver from XP into vista (vista's one is crippled on purpose)
    Is there anything else I can do to "forcefeed" the driver install?
    Ive set the program to run a admin in XP mode but it keeps moaning that its not run as admin.
    Can anyone help?

    XP Drivers aren't compatible with Vista.. you won't be able to force it to install, even if you did it the most you will manage is to make your system unstable.

    It's like trying to force a petrol car to run on diesel, it'll go in the tank but ain't gonna run the car!

    Vista and Win7 drivers are generally cross-compatible though.

    Its a printer driver as i said earlier I need the xp because the Vista one is crippled to make users by new printers.
    MS says you can install XP drivers

    Pull the EXE open with 7-Zip or UniExtract and take a look at the INF files.

    Have you actually tried the Vista one? Or did you just buy hook line and sinker into some conspiracy theorists who just finished at Creative's forums? :p
