I think, right now, I only have 3. Redfall System Shock Remake Starfield Out of these three, I am fearful of Redfall given recent previews in PC Gamer and elsewhere and the SS remake has been continually pushed back, so unless they pull the proverbial rabbit out of the hat, I have grave concerns for this one. Starfield? Most hopeful of the three that it will be a classic but I suspect delays and initial bugs. If I can just play a game as good as Dishonored 2/Alien Isolation/Prey before I retire, I will be happy. What are you looking forward to this year? (And anyone answering Zelda will be shown the door)
I no longer play games on release..... but there's still games I look forward to eventually playing, that are releasing soon(?): Homeworld 3 !!!11!!! I might give in and order the collector's edition with mothership model. I missed out on the remastered edition classic mothership. Jedi Survivor is releasing next few days, looks good. Of course, also Redfall and Starfield, both from known open-world developers Disonoured/Prey/Oblivion/Skyrim are indeed the bar for those.
I'm just looking forward to having a) the time and b) the disk space to be able to install and play something at some point soon.
I've been losing interest in games but, may try out Firmament and, hoping that Elder Scrolls 6 does eventually appear...
What's the problem with Zelda? Breath of the Wild was so well-received for a reason - it blew its competition away! I'm really keen for Death Stranding 2 but I think we'll be more than a year waiting for it. I bet starfield will **** the bed - Bethesda have been on a downward trajectory for a while and I struggle to see how loads of boring rocky planets (for this is what they have shown) are going to turn things around. And with the late delay call...
Starfield. Not sure what else is upcoming. The next in the Kingdom Come series whenever that may be. Same goes for TES6 and the next Witcher. Years for those no doubt.
It's a shame really, probably would have jumped on a Trek game but I'm just going to start a run on ME remastered (or whatever it's called) on my lowly 1080 and those graphics look worse than that tbh. I'll accept it on an old game if I must but a new one I just cant
I was hoping this would look a bit more like ST: Prodigy - Supernova, which I've been playing off & on.
Do people really still care that much about graphics these days, at least from the old more real is better pov? I actually think it looks fine for the style they've gone for. Moreover, if they've spent time and money making the game *good* then I'd much rather that than than a lot of the shallow dross that sells itself by just chucking GBs of textures and obscenely complex throwaway environments at your eyeballs.
They've got to be good enough for me now. Kingdom Come, Witcher, HZD, Red Dead that sort of thing. I do like a story but if I'm looking at anything to flat and blocky it just distracts me too much. Things change, I remember the day I was playing a hitman demo and was calling in my dad to say "dad, look, those curtains move!"
