Is the CD printed in the middle or a sticker?

Looks similar to the batch we had from China.

Maybe ask him where he's getting them from, or threaten to report him to Microsoft?

If it seems too good to be true and all that...

We had a couple of copies of server 2008 that ended up coming from china & looked genuine until you put it next to a genuine box.
Then you realised the text was slightly fuzzy, the colours were slightly out & they used stickers etc.

Activated etc fine but was either MSDN or Technet key on a pirated disk.

I would. Problem is it might activate now but is MS ever find out they will blacklist the key and you'll suddenly find it un-activates itself. Then £50 won't feel like such good value for money :(

Any chance of a decent photo of the disc? Also you could ask the seller to provide evidence that Microsoft have verified this stock as genuine.

yeah looks fake, the screen printed area is offset, and on my genuine disk the microsoft hologram changes to genuine, on three areas of the disk

you can report fakes in uk here

i should point out, if it is found to be fake, you can recieve a complimentary package, to help legalise you

i'd be tempted to report it rather than ssend it back, if you report it, it will be taken down, and possibly prosecuted, if you send it back, he may just repackage it and sell it to some other unsuspecting victim
