I may not be able to help you, but I'm hoping you could help me. How good is the cooling on the H50 with your Q6600 on stock? What are your temps?

I've been having a dilemma of replacing my TRUE with the Corsair H50 for a week now and cant seem to find and good comparison between the TRUE vs H50 on a Q6600.

Idle around 35c, running prime95 atm, doesnt go higher than 54c, will leave for the night for oc testing.

P.S is there down side of using "Instant OC", profiles that comes with Motherboard?

If I were you I'd just experiment, most boards are pertty much guaranteed to hit 3GHz without playing with the stock voltage, but 3.4GHz is easily doable on air with a good board
