My WD black would overheat stuck down there... Also what about the positioning of the hard drives like that, would something happen to them after being positioned normally for a few years?

 

hard drives can be mounted at any angel with no life span or performance change, so no.
Also HDD do not need active cooling unlike many would have you believe (to sell you stuff). Your WD black would be fine.

 

Lovely case. It's a bit of a showcase for all that we can expect in the future, no more drive bays, SSD only storage. I am getting a sick of monster cases which I use for the sole purpose to fit more radiators. Hopefully the focus from now will be to max rad mounts to case size like this case is doing.

 

This right here is my thinking too. I'm sick of my Elysium, as its just too big and bulky, so I'm really interested in this case and others like it!
