Can we haz a review plz?

I have big plans for that case. If the lower compartment will allow for sideways mounted PSU and a rad a la TJ-07 I'm sold.

Also, anything on the price yet?

Got that myself, sweclockers says 1300 SEK so roughly 140 EUR. Now I'm really interested.

A real man's case though, weighs in around hefty 18kg.

Well I was saving for a 700d, but this may change my mind depending on reviews.

Am I the only one underwhelmed by this? Just my opinion. It's just a bigger one of their previous ones, right?

Yes but with the removeable upper HD cage longer GPU's can fit than the R2/3. Also, the size increase means more space for water cooling.

Precisely. Also, support for E-ATX means there's a nice spot next to the motherboard to fit a sexy 250mm tube res. And with any luck the bottom compartment will take a quad 120mm rad. Sure, TJ-07 and some LiLis will do that already, but this thing costs half the price, and still looks classy.

Damn I really want some measurements on that thing, too bad it won't ship until october if I understood correctly:(

Now lets hope they've got the build quality right and these don't smell like rubber factories when you pull it out of the box.

I bought a second hand one recently and there is no smell, I think it must only be a "new" smell.

Saying that, one of the changes between the R2 and the R3 is reportedly a change from the bitumen sound deadening to a silicone material. I would assume therefore that the XL would come with this same material.

Looking forward to this case. I may try and build a rig in it at some point.

They changed the rubber to silicone a while ago.

I still don't get why, it didn't really smell at all, at least not on the two I've had (the first got damaged by the courier).

Still, good to see they're expanding their range. I wonder if they'd consider designing a case with a double-glazed window, for those of us who like to see their hardware in action but also like a quiet machine.

Considering they already paint the insides of their cases it would kinda make sense to offer windowed side panel for those of us who are not so confident with rotary power tools. If I decide to get this case I'm gonna have to find some local workshop to make the cuts for me.

Also, I shot an email to Fractal last night about the inner space on the case, I'd really like to know if it's possible to
    1) put a slim triple rad on the top with 180mm fan removed, seems there might be enough space for swifty + fans without hitting the mb.
2)mount the PSU sideways and put a quad 120mm rad into bottom compartment.

Let's see whether they bother with a reply:rolleyes:
