Free phone calls?

    Like voice over IP but better eh? Sweet! Replace your land line today.. just needs everyone else to use it now :hehe:

    This would be useful at LANs... phone a player a bitch about them being a fragwhore :worried:

    So everyone that wants to be available for voice would have just set up their server software and then you would be able to "dial" them by going to callto://theiripaddress/ .

    Hmmmm. Not sure if it will catch on. Especially since with software like msn messenger you can start a voice convo at the click of a button. No-ones gonna want an extra bit of software when the existing messenging client that most people seem to use, has that feature already.

    I saw this earlier today, and thought it was a good idea - but only if it's better quality than the other voicechat programs already out there. MSN Messenger and Yahoo! Messenger both have it built in already, I haven't tried out MSN's but I always found Yahoo!'s to be a bit laggy on slower connections.

    I'll have to give this one a try sometime :)

    Plus, with it being P2P will you have the RIAA flooding the network with fake people talking?

    Huuummm... Could be interesting.. I currently use VoIP for long distance and have absolutely no problems with it. Plus, I'm considering trying Vonage as my local carrier instead of Verizon...
