i'm looking for a simple program to cut mpg or avi files into shorter clips, cut out commmercials, etc. i'm currently using windows movie maker. i like the interface, but it will only export to wmv, which i hate. any suggestions?
Windows Movie Maker can export to AVI as well. In the Save Movie Wizard, Movie Setting window, choose DV-AVI in the other settings drop down box. This might only be available in the latest version of Movie Maker, which comes with Windows XP Service Pack 2.
