very nice. good quality paint job how do you get the cathode to change colour? i wouldn't worry about your english. a lot of people whos first language is english cant seem to construct a sentance properly. please can noone point out gramatical errors of mine. its not funny
the top cdrom is a brand new plextor cd burner with its 2 years warranty. :-( so in case it fails i prefer not to void th waranty before.
i used some "gélatines", (don't know how to say it in english) it is the plastic colored films that are used fol colouring the spots in concert halls and theaters. it resists perfectly with the high heat emitting prosessional hallogen spots so it is ok for our small cold cathodes. there is lots of different colors. and you can change the color when you want, whithout the need to buy a new cold cathode
Very nice - particularly like the case badge! Think I may have to rip a few boards up to find a chip to stick on mine.
thank you everybody. but have you got some ideas for me to improve it . personally, i'm thinking about lighting just under the tower, with a kind of "giant glowpad" and a blue cold dathode instead of leds. what do you think about this ?
Salut ca va? lol well I'll continue in english since it's the board language. I modded my case to get an underglow. bought an el-cable and stick it under the case. It does about the same thing as neons under a car Maybe that will help. nice case and welcome
Kaiser, you should stealth mod your cdburner then, and paint the bay insert you would stealth it with. That way you dont void the warrenty and everything matches.
hey ! good idea ! even if i would prefer see the cd burner itself instead of a flat piece of plastic...
eh, do you have an old cdburner lieing around.. or an old cdrom drive with a similar front plate? swap the front plates if you can.. and paint the older one.. put the one that belongs to the drive away so that if you need to use the warrenty.. you can.. Justanother idea
hello everybody. remember my case ? it is here : http://kaiser-2k2.fr.st well, i still havent found a similar front plate for my cd burner but i have a new project : last week end i have found a kewl plasma lamp and i want to use it into my case. you can found pics of the project here : But ther is a BIG problem : someone said to me that it can be very dangerous for the drives and for the whole computer, due to the high electromagnetic interferences generated by the plasma lamp. is it true and is it possible to secure / shield it ? and How? Thanks
yes it is true and if you use metal shielding your likely to damage the plasma ball i advise putting it in a plastic casing so that no metal is near it and so it doesn't touch the casing itself hpefully that will work good luck looks ultra sexy btw
well, i can't find infos about plasma lamps and radiations, so if someone has already seen such a project / realisation, please let me know...
hello everybody, remember me ? well, some weeks ago i presented my mod here. it is still visible at http://kaiser-2k2.fr.st well, i didn't put my plasma globe into the case, but now i will show you my latest evolution : a "glow base" for the case, made of plexiglass with a cold cathode. tell me if you like it. here are the pics : by day: by night: more pics to come.
