    Hey guys,

Another issue with my computer (spec in sig).

Right the other day I have tried to turn my computer on after taking out an replacing the Wi-fi PCI card due to a slight issues with not being recognised by Win8, which normally works in restoring the connectivity but not this time.

Initially I thought it could be a graphics issue, don't know what lead me down that road really. After taking the newish card 560Ti out and replacing it with the old 8600 to see if that worked or not (obviously not hence the thread here). Just trying to see if anyone has any ideas that could try and revive this mobo which has done me well over the years, would be great if I could.

Otherwise I am going to have to look for a new Mobo, CPU/APU, with some RAM as well, I haven't kept up with the times recently so I am looking for a new but cheapish build for the 3. Due to tightened budget (car is eating the money at the moment).

    So yeah, thanks guy!

    Mr.A

Put it in a preheated (~200C) oven for 5 or 6 minutes. Make sure to remove anything you can like heatsinks and labels etc

And cover any polymer caps as they can expand.

What could you have done just by removing and putting back a pci card? Static?

Don't know, still wouldn't post. Even changing GPUs and removing PCI cards. So I don't really know. Any suggestions to what I have done I am all ears really.

If this doesn't work then I will be looking to get new parts to replace the Mobo, RAM and CPU. What would you guys recommend? Budget £350.
