Disaster Fried my GPU

    New 9800AIW, fortunately not the PRO edition. Swapped the stock fan/HS for a nicer one. Sink fell off without notice but with SMELL.
    Let's claim warranty.

    Unlucky, hope you can get another one. Fortunately I've never broken any expensive equipment. I once forgot to put the HSF on a P4 when I was making it for a friend....amazingly nothing happened to it, despite the fact I saw smoke... :worried:

    Me is happy man. Warranty claimed, exchanged on the spot :D
    Now....let's replace that fugly fan/heatsink :hehe:

    Yes SIR! Gots my hot glue gun ready. Those push through pins weren't good enough. Perhaps i'll use screws and bolts this time.

    stop frying GPU's and send me one before you do!.

    I am still using a geforce4 mx440 64mb :/
