I posted here a while back with a budget of £300, but he now has £450 to spend. Here's what I came up with.

I'm pretty under budget, maybe I skimped a little too much on the case and motherboard? Would you guys change anything? He's only interested at the moment in Rome Total War : 2 but it would be good if it was a future proof as possible.

I don't know what resolution he's playing at, but its probably less than 1920x1080. He can't spend more than £450 so keep it below that. He's also open to the idea of used parts, but he can't access the marketplace so it'd have to be from eBay.

    Thanks

Since you're underbudget, have a look around at Intel CPU's instead. Or a better AMD CPU. I've heard they're not too great for games.

    Try this.

Thanks for that, I think he's okay with the extra £15 or so without scansure. Is the hard drive good enough in either of these builds? I wouldn't want him to have super long loading screens.

I've just noticed it's a 2.5" 5400rpm drive. You'd want a 7200rpm drive, and 3.5" for a desktop, something like this. If you could stretch him further by £10, you could bag a 1TB drive.
