Wow gentoo is really amazing if you compile your system from stage 1. On RH8 which I was previousl0y running OOo took about a minute to load any of the apps but now I've compiled it on Gentoo it loads in about 10secs. This speed increase is noticeable in the whole system but that really blew me away. I would deffinately reccomend Gentoo to anyone who has got to know Linux a bit. it really is quite amazing Dolbz
youd like anything coming from RH8 u should try slackware load times are abit faster than that, but maybe its my cpu speed
