New guy here with a quick question.
I have been asked to help a friend finish building his computer, but there is a problem, I have not build a computer in two years so I am now up to speed on some of the newest components. So here's the question, he wants a video card that is less than ~$130 it needs to be AGP. He is going to use the computer to play some games so it does not need to be too great. If you need any other info just ask.
    thanks all.

    EDIT:
Well i talked to the guy again and we decided to just redo the whole system, so now i have another question, what would be the best mobo and processor combo for around $120 or ~60GBP

I cant be assed to work out the doller - GBP thingy, so this may be way off.

    Either a 9800 pro or a 9700 pro.

It is impossible to find a video card like a 9800 for only $130 USD. Quick searches through newegg reveal that the cards in the $120-$140 price range are generally much worse; the 9600 series, even the XT, are within budget if you shop through newegg. Also available are newer GeForce 6200 cards. However, being stuck at $130 really castrates options; an additional $20 will get him a Sapphire 9800 pro.

your hardware may be cheaper over there and i am a ATI fan-boy. If the 9800 pro is out of reach then the 9700 pro should be available. if there is little in the prices then get the 9800 pro.

Thats gonna be very tight, it just cost me £187 for a AMD 64 3000+ and a gigabyte mobo thats way over budget without even thinking about GFX cards
you could probaly get a Amd barton I think they start around £40 or so and gigabyte do some good budget mobo's

Then you might be able to get somthing like a ATi 9700pro

have a lookaround for some secondhand stuff you will probaly do better there
