Bindi, are bit-tech obliged to post the press release word-for-word, or do you just not care?

As for the fans, this would be great. I am constantly wondering how to keep a case quiet without throwing in a fan controller that would ruin the look of the case or spending extra cash on fans that are designed to run super quiet.

As for the "word for word" part, I don't mind at all. I think its a smart move so we get to form our opinions based on info straight from the manufacturer and not the poster's personal take on the device.

Arctic Cooling already has some. Best bit is, you can daisy-chain them so you can have up to five on a single PWM port. Worth checking out too.

This is Industry Bulletins; if you change the words or add editorial comment it goes in News.

Gimme the facts, ma’am, just the facts... :hip:

"If you are looking for quietest, the new PWM fans from Arctic-Cooling are probably your best bet. Arctic Fan 12 PWM (which can only be used as an exhaust fan) and AF12025 PWM are the 120mm offerings. The new PWM fans from Coolermaster use ball-bearings, while A-C uses fluid dynamic, so they [CM] are probably not quite as quiet. JMC makes a 120mm PWM fan which I bet is pretty noisy by SPCR standards. Same thing for Rexus." - SPCR thread

Though the Scythe 120mm looks interesting; 1200RPM should be low noise, in between a 1350RPM Yate Loon and a 1000RPM Nexus.
