I have a ODD problem. Seems if I leave my PC unplugged for say overnight and try to boot it up it wont come up till it has been plugged up for like 30min or so. After that, hit the button and it comes up. Its real odd. Something in the power supply needing to build up a charge? A capacitor?

    I am stumped...

oh and it could be a short in the power supply, you could have a cappacitor discharging it's self when not plugged in.

lol - Good question! My pc is on allnight in my room - I strangley have become "at peace" with my pc - meaning i can ignore the churning of the fans inside... (noisy PSU grr)

Powering off yeah I do that on occasion (like err hmm actually when do I ever do that) - But unplugging? NEVER.

Don't worry it won't leak power and make your bill rocket, and it won't make your components unreliable either. In fact its jsut another reason in your case why you should leave your PC on all the time :D

    Interesting though.

what you need is a laptop, or one massive battery to use with your pc.

i think if my work place had a T1 i could use i would sleep there, think of the downloads you could do on that.

The simple solutions are always the best ones... all you need is a foldaway cot and a mini fridge...
