well, for linux (or any *nix OS with X and opengl) the best is XScreenSaver it comes with literally tons of screensavers (just look in the screenshots) I've seen a windows port but it doesn't have as many screensavers and therefore isn't as good I never really look for win32 savers though, just use glpipes
The screensavers here are awesome. http://www.reallyslick.com/ My favorite's Euphoria. I've been using it for years. All the ones here are OpenGL and are free. (Free as in really free, no nags, no nothing.)
No, you haven't been able to do that for a number of years now. The screen is constantly shifted by only a pixel,a dn it's done so quickly, you can't see it, just like with the refresh rate, it's to fast for most human eyes to see. My screensaver is the power button on my monitor.
wow.. them screenies look sweet. /me downloads a bucnh new screenies. EDIT: wow, those new ones lag my p3 600 SOOOOO BAD. like a frame every 10 secs. I bet it won't on my p4C 2.4 @ 3.3
