I have to say, that I usualy don't like clear cases. But, with that being said, this is no normal clear case!

Very nice work! You have given me way too many ideas :D

    /me eagerly awaits updates

    Hey all! :)

Not an update but just a quick post to answer a couple of questions and say a couple of things:

Firstly, thank you all for your support and the truly wonderful feedback! I appreciate any feedback, but getting great comments back from folks (such as Zapwizard) whose Mods I have admired so much just blows me away.

Secondly, welcome to the forums madonions (and others)! It is really nice to see that the project got a mention on your boards and I appreciate you guys making the effort to come over and comment.

I was asked if the chrome flakes off the plastic when I drill: No it doesn't as its on there pretty securely. I did flake some off when I tried using a step-drill as a router! But normal drilling I had no probs.

I was asked about cost of chroming the plastic: you'd need to contact www.bronzingstudio.com.au for a quote - it costs only slightly more than chroming metal.

    On Updates...

I hope to post updates as I finish each part - mainly because I want to surprise you! ;) Please, please don't expect daily updates as I have a very busy day-job but I will check the forums daily to see what is going on (so keep the comments coming - they really do motivate me). I'll redouble my efforts to finish the case for you guys within a reasonable timeframe. Please do understand that time spent posting lots of replies is precious time I could be modding (and then posting a nice fat update!) :)

Finally, if anyone sees any mention of the project on other sites, please let me know as I'd like to keep a track of things.

Please keep in mind that this is only a beginning.

    There is more to come.

    Much more.

Absolutely awesome work G-gnome. Never been a fan of clear cases, for the fact that they're just a see through box, and look largely unattractive, with not enough attention given to the internals.

Your case is something else though. Really really love the look. Great work man!

    Indeed.

So far the work is simply amazing and if you can maintain the quality and theme all the way through I will be really impressed.

How will you make sure the mobo won't mess up the theme, planning to use one of those silver coloured ones perhaps?

    Even better ...

(the Mobo will definitely NOT mess up my theme)

Btw, your Y2k bug is truly amazing Mashie

Since many of these awsome project logs become spam traps:
(No one has done this here...yet, but I am saying it ahead of time)

In aid for G-qnome.... Please in this, and ALL project logs:

-Keep the discussion relevant to the project.
    -Post lots of questions.
-But post only one "that looks cool" post per set of images
-Please help keep the project log flowing so that it can be read from start to end without 30 text only posts in the middle.
    -:search:

    Thank you.

G-gnome, I love the way you have used the color green for your computer. There aren't many computers with a green theme out there. Most are blue, some are red.
Your project log is an inspiration to all of us, and if you will excuse me, I think I have to tidy the wires in my case now... :D

    Keep it up!

I am another Onion coming to say what an AWESOME job you are doing on that case! You have taken planning and work to a whole new level with this. I am truly humbled.

On a side note... don't let SoulsEnd fool ya, He is a master-modder as well. ;)

This is truly an excellent example of case modification/construction. Your attention to detail is Phenomenal! I just wanted to say thanks for giving me so much inspiration to get working :D Once again, A+ work you have there!

    Subscribed, David.

P.S. Will stealthing the mobo cause trouble for heat dissipation?

This mod is nothing less than breathtaking. It's looking to be a fine piece of functional sculpture/modern art.

If the standard is maintained, and I have no doubt whatsoever that it will, I wouldn't be surprised if it ended up in a gallery!

    Keep up the good work.
