I've just read the last ten pages or so to catch up. I really love the hd cage/caddy.. stunning! And the thought gone into modding the northbridge water cooling - inspirational! It's all coming together now :)

Are we about ready for another update on this amazing project?

    It's been a couple of weeks ;)

Hehe. I mentioned this 3 months ago here - 4th picture down and the text below it. No I haven't changed it yet. TBH, it wouldn't worry me if they stayed that way (low priority ATM). Well spotted though. :)

I wouldn't really say that I was on a great modding quest for perfection and unbridled symmetry, more for something cool to sit on my desk. :baby:

I never posted in this thread, but IMHO I think this probably is the most famous and spoken of mod ever Period.

Great work, I know by experience that Plexiglas is not the easiest material to work on.

All the bigger modding sites, (let it be Dutch UK or any other country) has a newspost about the Orac3 project.

Hi Immy, welcome to the forums mate. PM is disabled in these forums so I'll answer you here.

I live in Newcastle so went to a place called Hamilton Chrome. If you don't want to drive to Newcastle then try Electroplaters in the yellowpages. Make sure you explain what you want done (some places don't do aluminium). Also bear in mind that if it's anodised then that will have to be stripped off first by the plater (some may not do this).

Let your fingers do the walking dude :)

Also, I completely agree with you regarding thread hijackers and spam posters. Forum rules for project logs are NO SPAM! Bit-tech forums are different from a lot of others in that we have these sort of rules and enforce them - makes this a more respectful, friendly and mature place to be. Peeps from other forums often carry their bad habits and rude ways here and need to be educated.

I deleted a few of the posts on this page as they fell into this category. Makes me mad, and this gnome gets craaaaaazy when he's mad and liable to do things to the detriment of spammers and hijackers post counts! :D

I registered because I wanted to congratulate you on your mod... Well, not anymore.

My intentions changed as I read through the rest of this thread and at your replies to user comments. Just because someone missed a line in your project log doesnt mean you have to be an ******* to them. We are all human and its possible to miss an explanation of how something was done. You're not god, even though you clearly think you are by your cockyness in this thread. Yes, you made an original case design, doesnt mean it gives you the right to treat people as if they were below you.

Your reply to the person who pointed out a grammar mistake pissed me off the most. Do you feel like you're perfect and you dont make mistakes? Is that why you wrote such a long reply analyzing his sentence? I believe he wasnt trying to be an ass by pointing it out. He just wanted to point out a mistake so it wouldnt be there when the project log is complete. Someone tries to help you out and you take it completely the wrong way.

I know you'll delete this post cause it "strays off topic" but it doesnt matter. The fact that you and a couple hundred other people read it in the mean time is enough. You're so full of yourself. Great project and great attitude :thumb:

edit: oh, and dont bother to fix my grammar, I'm not a writer so I dont strive to create flawless works of art when I make a post.

hey, i think this case is the coolest thing i've ever seen just like most on this board, but I dont see why its ok for g-gnome to to tell a guy hes lame for correcting his grammar yet my post gets deleted when i tell a guy essentially the same thing for claiming to invent the sarcasm tag.

do i have to build some awesome case before i can tell someone they are lame for saying something stupid?

    btw, nice computer case.

why do you have to tell someone they're lame at all? why not just ignore it if you don't like it rather than being an ass?

g-gnome did it when he ridiculed the guy who pointed out a grammar mistake, so why cant i?

i didn't realize people who had a lost of posts under their name were allowed more privileges. that wasnt stated in the rules.

in the rules, it says no SPAM, doesnt say you cant tell someone they made a stupid comment, i didnt send any mass unsolicited emails, so i didnt create any spam, wheres the problem?

i never said it was against the rules, i just think that it goes against common courtesy, that's all. and I never said i agreed with g-gnome doing it either. we can all be hypocrites at times, but getting mad/upset/aggravated over stupid little things like that may make you feel better, but it just lowers everybody else's opinion of you. next thing you know, people are saying the same thing about you, but you get offended when it happens. there are also ways of talking to people that use tact. you don't have to insult someone just because they don't agree with you, or because they did something you thought was stupid.

Woah TLS, that was uncalled for. You guys are making alot of judgements about G-Gnome.

On the topic of people asking questions already answered:
When you take the time to make a very informative post and someone doesnt take the time to read it or look for the answer to their question before asking it, its really a disgrace to see people blatently not read it.

    On the grammer correction:
Did you ever stop to think that his posts were meant to be more humorous than hurtfull towards the people he Directed them to. That guy quoted an image caption from another thread and told g-gnome about the correction. Not to mention that guy had been hounding G-Gnome on alot of different things and it could get quite stressfull with all of the questions that guy kept asking. It kind of seemed to me like he was trying to copy everything G-Gnome did.

hey G-gnome, how about creating a locked thread that only you can post in which just includes your posts and serious replies, then this thread can get spammed up as much as possible. Just like on Zapwizards ammo pc.

BTW keep up the good work :thumb:

kiljoi: I understand your point even though I haven't looked through this thread to find the post that your on about, but I don't think this is really the best place for your comments.
