Unless some ****** decides to pull on those audio jack type plugs and shorts 12v/5v to gnd while the comp is operational....better have a good PSU ya hear? :hehe: :hehe: :hehe:

G-gnome: Personally I *loved* your case up to the part where you started on the front. I some how feel that it has too much of a cluttered look, and maybe too much green now. Earlier we saw images like this:

but now it looks like this:

I guess I'm asking to be flamed, but I feel that its a little....just a little too over the top. Still, great work dude :D

well, that might be due to the fact that there's wires hanging everywhere and he hasn't cleaned everything up, or finished it for that matter...

Maybe....but I thought he 'wanted' that messy look....anyways I really hope he doesn't go for a green plexi base for the mobo...I will shoot myself!

Note: I'm not forcing him, just expressing my opinion, however much it maybe not be wanted etc....its his mod :D

It could almost be worth it...

    j/k ;)

Nah, chrome chrome all the way baby. :cooldude:

EDIT - I'm sure I posted somewhere about my idea to replace some of the green on the front with clear (The VFD/Fanbus cover for starters)? Anyway - it' 'aint over til it's over (and even then it 'aint!). Once I've 'finished' everything and it's all up and running I'll be taking a BIG step back and changing a few things to balance it all. If there looks like too much green in one place I'll deal with it.

I hear what you say. Yes the mod is for me and I'll do what I like with it, but I totally agree with you. The plan was always for a clear case with green accents - not a green and clear case (if you follow me).

Over the top? Of course! I like to push the boundaries...

This is the thread that doesn't end... yes it goes on and on my friend...

    Give 'em hell G-gnome!!!
I think that what he has clearly stated time and time again is:
"This is a project that is evolving and will continue to transmorgify it's self untill the Powers that be (G-gnome) is satisfied with the results" (end slight missquote.)
I think that it is insperational and gives excelent great guidance as to what can be accomplished when one puts one's mind to it.
It ain't over till the fat ORAC sings...
    Insert your own Idiom here...
We should all stop griping and pissing and moaning and let him achieve his goal and learn from the things he posts to find our own "Happy Place" I.E. the mod that we envision for ourselves.
Sorry if I am saying too much G-Money...
    Thanks for your tutelage.
    I'm Outy!

    your latest update was rocking...
but as the other one said, too much of clutter in the front...
    well...
you got too much cables I guess :p

    well anyway...
I guess your case looks awesome when its dark and you turn
on all the lights in your case...

    could we get such a pic?? :D ?? :D

That's your opinion SweMOD and you're certainly entitled to it, personally I don't think I have enough! I'll be adding another 30-40 cables through the back half of the case... :naughty: That will balance things out!

As I said in my very first post back in August - cabling will be a feature. A feature is something that stands out. 1000 people could post saying they don't like the cables and it won't change my plans any. There still seem to be a lot who do like them. Sure, they'll be a little neater in the finished case, but only a little.

Don't forget I still have 4 PCBs controlling 8 LEDs each - all those have to have cables etc etc - what am I going to do with them? Where will they go to? How do you hide 4 PCBs? Where do you hide 4 PCBs? Wait and see... ;)

    ----------------------------------

I won't be posting any pics in the dark just yet, maybe when the case is finished. Even then, I'll be trying to photograph it as it appears to the human eye. The way I plan on doing it, the lights will shine brightly but you'll still be able to see all the details in the case.

g-gnome -- mod-on, dude! :thumb: its all yours--your ideas, your hard work, your money... be like a visitor to Burger King (Happy Jack's?) and get it made your way... :D

I don't think I've posted here before, but I figured now was the time delurk to say that I wait with great anticipation for every update! *hint-hint* :naughty:

Your work has inspired me to (try to) talk the spousal unit into releasing some fundage to play around with plexi/acrylic...

Great work and keep it up! Love the Giger-ish look ;)

in my point of view the number of cables has no value unless you design them into the theme of the case.
G-nome's case has been to me a kick in the ass and i am on my " silver logg " pics to come in later on !
he has inspired many modders to get started with there work and that is very nice.
G-nome's case mod shows that with a little hard work and a lot of ideas you can create beutiful swans from ugly ducks.

ahh oki... now I see... ya of course that will balance things, I believe
that it will look more complete then :p
    hehehe

damn I really looking forward to see the case with mobo inside and running.
    It will look sweeet!! :D

as I can't say finished, as it would never be...
nothing will ever be finished, everything can be modded :p

where do you hide 4 pcbs? that s not a so important question...where do you hide that big ass pcb named mainboard + videocard and everything else will be intresting to see...and, as someone hinted before...any rough time scale of the next update? like somewhere in the next month? somewhere in the next 69 days ???

    anywayz...mod on :)
