Wow wow wow
Looks awesome G-gnome.
I guess we have found those missing WMD.
Reports are going to start coming in that the modding comunity has got ahold of some WMD.
kewl - they also do Ti fasteners an anodised hose finishers - altho i think the python hose clamps are alot more tidier ...
edit - pi-thon and you have already prolly got them
edit 2 - I also forgot to ask about the actual reason for the project - ie for a customer showpiece, own use or ? ...
the main reason i ask is that it seems an awfully close time gap between finishing orac and starting wmd - as I always found I had a gap of 6 mths or so before I started a new project - it just hits me as a very quick turnaround for buying/modding/creating new work?
If he's referring to me checking his spelling, he's in even bigger trouble than I thought.
Wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow
All i can say is wow, I see G-gnome's fettish for chrome sure hasn't worn off, keep it up
The case is designed to be a 'Weapon of Mass Gaming Destruction' for LANs and any other like-minded events - performance meets looks, etc. It'll be for my own nefarious use (I'm such a crap player I need all the technological advantages I can get! ).
As to the turnaround between this mod and Orac - I had already conceptualised WMD at the end of last year and done some sketches, and started on the final planning before Orac was even finished. I've also not had a weekend free in 3 months and had about 3 weeks off work to mod full-time, so it's been a lot of hard work to get it to this stage so soon after finishing Orac. The bit-tech staff have put in a lot of behind-the-scenes organisational work with the sponsors that has freed me up to mod.
Wow, that is looking incredible, could even bet better than Orac3, although I did love the rust on it. What's the inspiration this time and are Valve still paying you?
Looking very nice, let's hope this one turns out better than the last . J/k, hope you can make some good time for it, you seem to have made quite teh l33t m0dder out of yourself
Was that meant to be funny or something
Paines, you know me well enough to answer that question yourself!
Seriously though, it is looking like a very good mod, a worthy sequel to Orac 3.
Fantastic idea for a case, and the implementation is incredible. Jaw-dropping stuff. Even smilies can't express the awe I'm in over this case!
It's inspired me to build something original from scratch eventually. I don't know what yet, but I will do it.
Thanks G-gnome, and everyone else involved.
Good god, again you are taking modding to the next level. It amazes me to see how many details you're throwing into this. The case itself (as with Orac3) aren't exactly to my tastes but the sheer amount of craftmanship that is going into these projects is just mind-blowing!!
Good luck with the rest of the case.
p.s. Could you put the WMD next to a normal case, I'm having a hard time picturing how big/small this is
I love CNC milled metal...such a great look.
Well done, dude - Looks damn good.
This is looking absolutely stunishing, I'm looking forward to seeing upcoming progress.
This made my day
Good luck with it!
Hope this one wont be getting shipped internationally, love to see what customs would think of it!
WOW, G-gnome you have surpassed even yourself.
I would never have the patience to build that without scratching the crap out of the metal.
OT: It was me who questioned the spelling - I work with an Aussie, it was he who said you use US spelling, ah well.
Haha, that really would be worth seeing.
Anyway, excellent work G.
I have to say I prefer the Orac, not to say I dont like this new project, just give it time to grow on me. Either way they're both cool and the attention to detail and skills needed to make something like this are trully amazing. Nice work again G-nome, best of luck with this
