PART. N°4 - Plate superior, support Optic Reader, PSU and Rhoébus - 31/10/2009


4 - Plate superior, support Optic Reader and PSU -


4.1 - Aesthetic modification and support PSU -

- Cut of the plate and the chock wood.



- Preparation and glue.


- Fabriquation of the chock PSU.


- Glue.




- Cut up hole D120mm for the fan of feeding.
- Cleaning leaves of glue.


4.2 - Fixing of the Optic Reader -

- Make the chock.


- Manufacture of the mask


4.3 - Assemblage -



- Trial assemblage: Pose of the chock, blockage of the optic reader with the aid of the elements of origin and installation of the PSU.


- Installation in the box and without forgetting the mask reader on the front of the plate


- Vidéo of eject CD.

- Everything walks and goes well to place, am too much happy.


4.4 - Rhoebus -


- Taking down of rhoebus.



- Modification of the support of origin by gluing together a valley, manufacture of a baby limps with covering in alu.



- Collage of the rhoebus support on the upper plate, and assemblage.







- Drilling of a passage for cables on the upper plate (1cm in the most thick common even) and on the boitier of covering.


- Assemblage of the whole in the box.



Finished for today, this advances slowly but this advances, it is cool.

 

Very nice work on that plate, looks very clean.

 

Here is the final aspect of my mod:

 

Mervilleux! Très bien fait.

 

I still maintain that the side panel shouldn't be marred by that fan.

 

Looks like something the customs in Marseille just have seized

Here is the resultat if I do not put the lateral fan.



Personally I prèfére the aesthetics with the fan.

 

It's your case mate. I've already been surprised by one G5 mod this month, why not another?

Go with what feels right.

 

The modifications of the boitier for the installation hardware is finished , now I am going to begin the bright bottom.

 

PART. N°5 - Support hard disk and final Photographs the modifications of installation hardware - 10/11/2009


5.1 - Support hard disk -



- Cut of support.




- Glue.


- Cleaning leaves of glue.



5.2 - Photos final des modifications d'installation hardware -


- Modification in ATX format, support motherboard tray , installation of the Optic Reader and PSU, fixing of the rhoébus and hard disks.

 

Clever use of packing tape. I like how this is going together.

 

I really like the design. But i dont like the fan controller and fan in the sidepanel. It just ruins the simplicity and cleanness of the case.

 

Mod in stopping for 4, 5 months for reason medical, not cool

Resumption of the mod, finally


Cut almost all my parts in aluminum. Miss only fan's support.

This afternoon or Tonight I order parts or accessories missing, I'll order the kit MDPC-x as next month.

 

Not sure what I'm seeing here. If you changed something, it's to subtle to pick out.

 

Looks nice so far.You should change the name to quad crossfire.

Here small rendering of the final appearance of the mod, I would have no screws and no cables visible. Color selection is not yet defined.

 

Projet très intéressant ! Ca me fait toujours un peu mal quand je vois un G5 se faire massacrer !
Les rendus sont très bien !

Les lumières resteront elle bleues ?
Je propose que les couleurs restent comme dans le rendu, le mélange de bleu noir et blanc est superbe
