If anyone has ever seen a 7N400 Pro 2 Revision 2 board from Gigabyte, they'll know that it has these infinitly retarted little dipswitches for setting CPU multiplier, as well as Clock Speed, sort of.

My problem is that my Barton 2500+ is being read by my BIOS, computer, CPU-Z and anything else I throw at it as an Athlon XP 1100Mhz chip. The most I can figure is WHY this is happening, but I can't figure how to fix it.

Since it's a post week-39 superlocked 2500+, I know I've gotta set the multiplier on the dipswitches to x11.0, which I have done fine. However, the Clock Speed switch has two settings, and it looks like this:
    Code:
     _____
    | O_N |
    | | | |
    | | | |
    | |X| |
    | ¯ |
     ¯¯¯¯¯
Now, the ON setting represents Auto FSB detection, or having the BIOS recognize your manual input in-BIOS, while OFF sets it to 100Mhz, period.

The detection as 1100Mhz comes from having it set OFF, with the 11x multi. The obvious answer would be to switch the Clock Switch on, but when I do that, I can POST, but the computer boots down in a few seconds, with five beeps. The AMI BIOS guide tells me that means a Processor error, but that doesn't make sense, as the 2500+ is designed to be able to run at higher than 100Mhz.

While set to OFF, no matter what is input into the BIOS, the designation doesn't change. Anyone have thoughts?

Yea, that's the problem, when I set it to Auto, it dies with beeping signaling a processor error, confusing the hell out of me.
