I have everything ready and waiting to build a new PC except the CPU cooler. The Gelid Tranquillo is out of stock in the only two places that sell it (OCUK/Scan) and has been since the 2nd. I understand that the Titan Fenrir will not fit if I'm using RAM with large heat spreaders (I am).

Can anyone recommend a CPU cooler that will fit a Gigabyte GA-P55M-UD2 board with tall (Corsair XMS3) RAM? I'm not too concerned with noise as I have a 4870x2 that'll drown out anything.

    Thank you.

Have you tried looking at the Arctic Freezer Pro? I used them with tall Corsair memory and had no clearance problems.

Thank you for the help, it's appreciated.

    I'm an idiot.

I got the RAM out of it's packaging to check on some measurements and only then did I realise I didn't buy the RAM with the tall heat spreader fins, I bought these instead. I cancelled my Tranquillo order and a Titan Fenrir is now on it's way.

    Thanks again.

when you install the fenrir, you can either mount it with the fan pushing air over the cooler, or reverse the fan with it PULLING air over it. Either way, you can fit the titan fenrir on that mobo with large ram sinks. I get good temps with it this way, 3.8 @ 60deg full load.
