Agree, if you spent that money on a PCI-E card you would get a lot more performance.

I would hold off until you can upgrade to a PCI-E platform.

Personally the best bet is to go and get a secondhand 6800Gt based card....its fast enough for current games and also clocks past Ultra speeds.

Or u can wait for the AGP version of the 7600 series...but it maybe a while.

Personally i have a Gainward 6800GT @ Ultra..and it does the job brilliantly. usually can be had for £100.

cheeres. i'll look into it abit more see what i can come up with.

I currently have the sapphire technology ati radeon 9800 pro atlantis 128MB but i find it lags on many top end games so i have to resort to lowering graphics levels which i hate to do. rater play the games at their full potential.

i had that before i upgraded, its a HUGE difference and worth the money.Everythig is on high and with all eye candy switched on....espically with the newer games.

Minglemouse what is the rest of your system like? If you have 512MB or less of RAM then an upgrading that might help a bit. Also you need to consider if your PSU could take a video card upgrade or if you would need to upgrade that aswell.

Matey just a tip u can use the EDIT buttion to EDIT ur posts if u need to add anything.

Well what i was gonna say is that if you were thinking of spending that much on the 7800GS u might aswell upgrade to PCI-e system, u have the mem,cpu avail...why not?

Decent mobo's are avail at minimal cost and a good new gfx card are esay to find for a PCI-e syatem, it prob works out cheaper and also u have the added ability to upgrade down the line.

you can spend £40 for a pretty god Biostar mATX mobo with some OCing...

then with the money left over from not buying the Leadtec, you can get a 7900 GT, which will make everything fly...

or spend more on the modo and get a 7600GT...

    its that simple..

    AJ.

    PS- welcome to the forums..

well thatnks for the tips guys. i will most probably go for the whole change to pci-e. might as well do it now rather than get a new graphics card for the agp system then go and change like next year.
