    I got the MSI 970, but this version of the 970 certainly looks good, and does cost a little less too.

    You might wish to change the listed price, OCUK now retail the card for £281.99 inc VAT (a £22 increase overnight).

    Good spot, thanks! However, it seems that the other cards have all increased by simialr amounts, so relatively the differences are pretty much the same. Probably related to all the "Cyber Monday" BS (why is that a thing here..). I've added a note to the conclusion to inform people of this but have left the scores as they are.

    A 780ti can be had for £289.99 on OCUK. Is this a better deal as it beats or matches this 970 in most benchmarks? Does the 1gb less vram make much difference?

    The vram is useful for higher resolutions. You might get better driver support with a 970 too. But I don't know. There is also a noise, heat, and power consideration.
