    im getting my own computer parts and getting a friend to put it together, its mainly for games and such, what should i be looking for as far as a mother board and processor?

    Well, I'll just give you two different options.

    AMD64 X2 4800+
    2x nVIdia 7800GTX
    Asus SLI deluxe mobo
    1gb fast 3200 RAM
    74gb 10,000rpm raptor hard drives

    thats the high end.

    AMD64 3200+
    nVidia 6800 or 6800GT
    512mb of fast 3200RAM
    some mobo, the on in my sig is alright
    some hard drive

    thats the mid range...pretty much

    have fun with that

    if youre gaming dont skimp on the ram, youll NEED 1gb for latest games just to load them, ideally 2gb if you can manage it
