    Game Boy Rock

Nintendo's Game Boy can be hacked to create synthesizer-like original music.

Whoa.. I think that's definitely awesome..It's my Dad's hobby to fix things up even if they're in good condition.. I dunno if it's a hObby or more of a habiT..lol.. he's old now but I bet if he's at my age ..he wouldn't mind checking out on Gameboys

There's been a sequencer out for the Gameboy for some time now...can't remember what it's called though (not sure if you can get hold of it any more - was only produced in limited numbers). It could even do 'multiplayer' with 2 Gameboys each doing different parts (effectively doubling the channels to 8).

[edit] Found it! Nanoloop - pretty sure it's been around for a good 4 or 5 years.

Also, I've got an EP somewhere that consists of 4 Beck tracks re-mixed with the Gameboy being the main 'instrument' - very cool sounding.
