Can't say there is much I'm looking forward to. Hopefully Unrecord will see the light of day next year although I'm not holding my breath. The Splinter Cell remake whenever that appears. Terminator Dark Fate Defiance is another one. Also the next STALKER. What have you got on your radar for 2024?
I would say Elder Scrolls 6 but, who knows when that’s coming? I’ll be 60 next year and my interest in games is slowly waning, so maybe when it does eventually crawl out from under it’s rock, I won’t care any more…
55 here and although my interest isn't waning as such, I think I have less patience than I used to. Games need to grab me almost in the 1st 5 minutes or I'm out.
Ditto. I was at a friend's over the weekend and he showed me 2077 - my God does it look amazing. I'm hoping that my current work situation is... different next year and am currently planning to build a new system when the next generation Nvidia RTX 50000090 Ti (with flashing lights) is released, which is currently predicted for end of 2024/beginning of 2025. This also assumes that I haven't spent even more money on 40K and hookers. So, in addition to Dan's ones: Homeworld 3 Mass Effect....4? 5? Whatever Space Marine 2 Rogue Trader I also want to get back into Star Citizen at some point, but my free time is a fraction of what it was when I first fell for paying money towards it.
Unreleased games, just Senua's Saga, and Dune: Awakening. Until either of them come out my horizons going to be my backlog. I've still got BG3, the invincible, and disco Elysium to start, and Death Stranding & Dead Space remake to finish. Plus another play through of CP2077 for the dlc.
https://indianajones.bethesda.net/en-US Hope this lives up to expectations. The last Indy game I played was back in 1998 I think?
Lol, these are still on my to do list and will probably be some time until after at least one move lol. Guess there's now DLC or soon to be DLC for both now Guess on the horizon would be GTA VI next year and Kingdom Comme Deliverance II when it's out.
After seeing this thread had a new response, I had a look to see if there was any new news about Elder Scrolls 6. Looks like it won’t be released until at least 2028. Not sure that I’ll still be playing games then…
Assetto Corsa Evo. https://assettocorsa.gg/assetto-corsa-evo/ Hopefully it will make up for the dissapointment that was Forza Motorsport.
teh new Stalker is on my watch list, but i think the only 2 games im looking forward to are Space marine 2 Sins of a Solar empire 2
Wow, it looks like I actually haven't got anything newer on steam than since 2018 I've been on the PS4/PS5 for newer things. Hopefully readdress that after I move.
The next STALKER is about the only release-day title I'm interested in, I'll pick up Space Marine 2 when it's on sale, maybe the next Doom in a couple of years (although Eternal was crap, I'm not holding out hope)
Heartland was never going to fly, good riddance I say. They just announced the forming of the Division 3 team, so looking forward to that if I am still alive when it lands. After ~6k hours in Division 2, with the odd foray into Anno 1800 for a change of pace, I haven't seen anything that takes my fancy for a long time.
Homeworld 3's out, and I should be over the moon with excitement - but I'm not. I haven't even bought it yet. Three main reasons (which have already been discussed to varying degrees): Gaming just doesn't have the same attraction as it used to. I would rather spend time on something that has a tangible payoff at the end (i.e. 40K and Lego). I always want to play a game at the best possible settings, and whilst my PC from 2016(!) can handle the latest and greatest "okay", upgrading is a pretty massive financial investment now. Especially when you've already spent an irresponsible amount of money on plastic. I've even been a grown up and set up somewhat substantial direct debits to inflate my pension as well as pay into a savings account that generates 5.5% interest. The only game that stands a chance of peaking my interest at the moment is Mass Effect 4, and while Andromeda was a decent but flawed game, it'll be a massive disappointment if Mass Effect 4 doesn't manage to recapture the magic of one of my favourite gaming series.
