UFO: Enemy Unknown (Originally Amiga 1200, then PC, then PSone more recently PPC) FFVII (without doubt the best so far, hoping XIII is as good ) Some C&C Series (Original + RA 1&2) Mechcommander 2 WoW (for my sins) DoW
Deus Ex. Halflife and all Episodes/sequels/parallels. Warzone 2100 Forza 1 Project Gotham Racing 2 Eve Online (do MMORPGs count?) Mechwarrior 3+4+expansions. Left4Dead Counter Strike Source Team Fortress 2 Supreme Commander&Forged Alliance Total Annihiliation
The turn based X-Com games are never far from any of my hard drives down the years, going further back to my ZX Spectrum days I even had Laser Squad and Rebel Assault nearby for a quick blast. The Gollop brothers did another game which consisted of a very large open area and was in the same style as Laser Squad - can't remember what it was called but it had Alienesque styled creatures and Wub-Wub trees (love that name!). All of the Half Life games are aways loaded and get dipped into every once in a while (especially for Ravenholm) plus I occasionally give Portal a whirl just to remind myself just how much fun it is. The CoD4 Modern Warfare campaign is simply terrific and gets frequent plays. I also love playing Crysis just for the action bubbles - the schoolhouse rescue is my favourite.
Stalker SOC + Oblivion Lost mod and now Complete 2009 FEAR + expandalones RD Grid Burnout Paradise only occassionally now since a corrupted HDD resulted in losing everything and having to start again from scratch. and Crysis although I just dip in and out occasionally too. I wont be returning to Assassins Creed however, very disappointing!
You'll probably all laugh at me but.... Runescape keeps me coming back every now and then. Half Life 2 series - I think its the only set of games that I've completed more than three times. CSS when I was into it, but got bored of it. GTA IV was good for quite a while, and I started playing it again after a while away from it. I seem to get bored of games pretty quickly, seems to be less replayability in most new games, as they are just linear and no big open ended sandbox style gaming.
CSS Half Life trilogy Goldeneye Perfect Dark But the best of all for me was Zelda: Ocarina Of Time. Probably because of my age when it came out. IMO that was the best game ever created. There was just so much to achieve and secrets to unlock. Plus the fact that the story line just captured you so well.
Used to be any of the Battlefield games and C&C games until I finally gave up PC gaming this year. These days its, Xbox 360 Bad Company Battlefield 1943 Halo 3 Grid Bomberman Worms Carcasonne PS3 Formula 1 Fat Princes Killzone 2 Crash Commando Lemmings PSP Toca Race Driver 2 Gran Turismo Destruction Derby PS1 Mahjong (Minis)
C&C Red Alert 3: Uprising- Love both the Harbinger Gunship and Giga Fortress GTA 4 PC- Playing this alot recently, trying to complete in under 30 hours, got 30 missions left (done 62 so far) and still have 19 hours odd to go, so hopefully should get it done in the next few days. Sam
Most all of the command and conquer games Total Annihilation Empire Earth Sins of a Solar Empire Can you guess what my favorite genre is?
What, no one mentions CS 1.6? I still play it regularly. 10 years going strong. Unreal tournament (all) TF2 HL1+2+exps GTA Vice City
Final fantasy VII, VIII, X Oblivion, even tho morrowind was far better, theres just something that keeps me coming back to it. started playing runescape again on my netbook when im bored in uni.
Same here. It's the only game that I wanted to complete all the challenges to unlock cheats and levels. Now days we get achievements or pictures [insert dismissive **** motion here]. And multiplayer with friends was a very good time. Only other games that I came back to are multiplayer games: Team Fortress Classic Day of Defeat (hl1 mod) America's Army <= 2.7 Battlefield 2
QFT. I must have replayed all the GTA games many times, in anticipation of the next one coming out. Having said that, now that I've played GTA IV I'm not sure I can go back to San Andreas. Crysis and FarCry also keep me coming back for more.
easy and predictable answer from me would be UT(99 and 2k4), but there is also all the Gran Turismo games. I haven't played the first one in forever but until a few months ago I would still play the 2nd one. Right now I am working on some endurance races in GT4. The PS2 is plugged to my 40" LCD with a composite cable I bought online so that it can render the game in 1080i (GT4 is one of the two PS2 games that can do that) and I play with my G25 ... I never thought I could have this much fun again with Gran Turismo The G25 really makes the gameplay shine more than I thought. It doesn't feel arcade as much anymore !
