I'd love to get into 40K again, after flogging off my old Tau years ago. Considering either a Dark Angels or a Grey Knights army, hmm...
DA are waiting for their new book atm, which is likely to be early next year- littlepuppi on the last page has a few dark vengence kits to sell, quite a few DA marines. Grey Knights will be the quickest to get a army for, due to the high point cost so fewer models to buy/paint.
You're in the same boat as me, except I want Chaos. Anyone want to or know anyone who wants to trade my Dark Eldar for there Chaos?

I've lurked for a while without sharing anything. Here is my BA drop pod list at 1500 pts, yet to lose a game since 6th ed.
My Space Marine army has just expanded thanks to my mate. He didn't want his stuff anymore and needed the money, he was going to sell it for £10, but I gave him £20, still a bargain. Got a Land Raider, Whirlwind, 5 marines, black reach dreadnought, and a Venerable Dreadnought. Just need to repaint the tanks. That is indeed a bargain! Man, Benji2412, how did you stomach building all those pods? My will to build them died after three! Between trips to the bathroom (Yay being ill since Satruday :/) I've been working on Valkia the Bloody. I dislike aspects of the GW model (Although it is a very nice model) such as the wings and bloodletter head. Decided to get rid: Greenstuffed the armour over on the back, as the wings were separate (Which was nice), used part of a daemonettes hair to make Valkias and greenstuffed the gaps up so it looks right. Still need to straighten that damned halberd though..
Valkia is a very nice model, would be good to see more female characters by gw. I never built a drop pod but have seen people have problems with them.
The drop pods are one model that you need to follow the instructions on for the first build at least, it is very easy to get something in the wrong order and then be stuck trying to fit the next part in. I learnt the hard way, having to pull apart a couple of bits and trim off some of the fixing nubs after just piling in there. On the subject of more female characters, I would just like to see more female models, the 40k books have always had a smattering of female characters in the imperial guard both as grunts and officers, would be nice to have the option for some rank and file guard units to have a woman or two in there, just for variety if nothing else.
So.. I decided to stick with my Dark Eldar after all, since I went to the local store and everyone and their buddy had the new Chaos stuff! But anyway.. I've come to get some ideas from you guys. My Wych squad leaders have Venom Blades and I need a way to make them stand out from normal weapons/power weapons etc. I mean I could add some green on to make them look like it's poisoned but that seems just a little lame. Also looking for DE Blasters/Splinter Cannons (current versions) if anyone has any.
How about painting the blades to look like volcanic glass? Starting off black and building up edge highlights of green or blue.

Was having a look at the new chaos warrior models, the warshrine is really nice, tempted to pick one up to paint. Any models that stand out for people, just to paint?
So I got some time to do abit of painting today. I'm trying to teach myself how to paint with a brush abit more and up my skills So heres a wip of my daemon prince of khorne. Needs more highlighting on the skin but I need to go buy some paints to do that. The metal plates etc are all only base coated.
Looking great so far. I've not had much luck with red on my khorne berserkers, need some new reds I think.
