About seven hours so far, painting wise. Still got to knock up the 555 controller, and fit the landing LED's. Not to mention a shittonne more painting.
Thanks chaps! I used an aerosol to base coat it black, Krikkit, but everything else is done with a brush, yeah. 000-00000 Humbrol Palpo brushes and a Citadel large brush. It does need some damage effects, yes, but I'm tempted to do damage effects as and when the units take damage in battle >.> Yeah, Warren, there are some people that airbrush stuff. Citadel even sell their own flamer shaped airbrush and cans of propellant. I'm confident the Dreadknight nemesis blades are airbrushed for the box art, at the very least.
Bear with me, i haven't done any Warhammer stuff in over 10 years. Used to play at Wolves GW on a Saturday morning after the paint sessions. Is the paint water based or solvent? I'm guessing the primer is solvent due to it being aerosol. Are the little tubs?
The little tubs are water based as far as I know. I must confess, I tend to use Halfords black, rather than citadel stuff, so I couldn't say much about their aerosols.
Might pick up a model from Hobbycraft on the weekend and see how I get on airbrushing. Should be fun. Now, which to choose.
Necron Flayed Ones I found them a blast to paint. While they seem simple, it's fun with all the small detail you can do with them.
Ultra... Don't make me tear you to pieces for your ignorance of my hatred of that chapter. Imperial Fists fool!
Grey Knights, Warren. The plastic kits are absolute joys to build and paint. Gluing to the stand! Done some work on the Punisher variant for the Mechanised IG army I'm putting together. ..I love tanks >.>
Worked on Crowe today, as well as finishing the Punisher. I also put together a new HQ squad for the Black Templars. Marshall is going Termie armour with a command squad of Thunder hammers and storm shields.
Ah, Punisher.... let's slap a GAU-8 on a tank and watch it drive backwards with the recoil Knew I forgot to do something today.... basecoat Ghaz... I'll do it on sunday.
