Yeah that's pretty much me if I was a Space Marine... ass kickery and shouting ab-dabs... although it does mean a lack of rum.
Oh I dunno Brawl, I think you could still down the grog if you blessed it, seems to work OK for the church afterall....
My brain just went all Space Marine for a moment and declared pretty much everything you said to be heretical >.< I do a brilliant impression of a Chaplain to be fair, I'm loud, Over-confident and sound like I could slaughter around 1000 heretics! ^.^ But needless to say, even the Chaos Space Marine's of the Word Bearer's aren't allowed alcohol, they're all uppety and bleurgh about it >.< It's amazing to see how close to The Imperial way of Space Marines the Word Bearer's still are, despite their worship of Chaos.
Do Space Wolves not have like uber strong beer and meed? I remember reading one of the novels about it having to be so strong so that they could get drunk.. This is all that is needed to make space wolves awesome lol
Yep, Space Wolves do have that. It's called Fenrisian Ale. Humans would die however, trying their drink. It's a combination of herbs chemicals and a bunch of other stuff. It's so strong it basically overloads their implant that handles poison entering the body and causes them to gain the same effect of being drunk.
Yeah, there are even some Space Wolves that eat twigs, at least, in the first novel "Space Wolf" there are. got some Legion of The Damned today. Gonna have a look at them this afty.
haha they do, actually in the book there is a character called Heagr who basically drinks barrels of the damn stuff. I also get compared to him far to often for my own liking... Phalanx start calling it me and I'll eat you. They're actually the only chapter who drink. The rest of them aren't allowed... in one of the Word Bearers Books the Champion is stood there drinking wine and Marduk turns round and chastises his possessed ass for it. Dude... have you got shared in Games Workshop?
Been working on the LoTD tonight, because I am all out of inspiration for the Deathwatch drop pod. I have the other five guys at roughly the same stage (three bolters one flamer one multi-melta), but couldn't be arsed taking a picture of them. BRAWL: I do have a spare thunder hammer... >.>
Make with the BRAWL Space Marine figure my friend... I will worship you for all time as part of the Ecclisarchy.
It's certainly how it looks. I'll have to have a butchers at the models when they make it to my local GW.
http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/content/blogPost.jsp?aId=16400050a Yes, GW, brilliant... GW: "Metal is too expensive. We need a cheaper resource..." Buyers: "Resin would work! It's cheap and gives great detail! Look at the models from Forgeworld!" GW: "Hmm, you're right! Resin it is!" Buyers: "YAY!" GW: "Oh, we're going to raise the price too... Because, erm... It's... Cheaper, than metal...? *turns to Head Office* Is this right? Yeah? Fair enough..."
Re-reading that article, Ph4lanx, I see nothing about price increases - Do you have a definite source for that?
It's Games Workshop? Past history should be a good enough indication But seriously - I think that since the economy (especially with respect to consumer spending) is strained at the moment, GW would be silly to use this as an excuse to raise prices. Even though they're feeling the pinch too, raising prices could see a fall in revenue IMO as more people give up buying models until the economy improves. (But having said that, it wouldn't surprise me if they do raise prices)
Great mental image of the entire GW staff stood there, Aquilia across the chest "The Emperor Protects"
Considering all the rumours about prices are leaning towards "going down", rumours that are being proliferated by GW employees, I genuinely do not see them increasing prices. I'd be shocked if they went down by a lot, I'm expecting them to stay much the same, rather than go up.
Considering they charge a price premium for the resin forge world kits I can see the price going up but yeah it should be going down. I understand that forge world is a slightly different case but materials are materials.
Forge world is a seperate company to GW, so their prices and amount of material they use is very different. Materials have a base price, but its the molds that cost the money, so the higher price for forge world models as less are produced then GW models.
